The “National Plan for Industry 4.0 2017-2010” is one of the measures that the Italian Government has set up to support domestic manufacturing, taking note of the ongoing technological upgrades to factory processes and the change fostered by the fourth industrial revolution.
Presented in September 2016, at the Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, in the presence of the Minister of Economy Pier Carlo Padoan, the government’s plan was designed to give a medium and long-term vision intended to boost investment and Italian businesses.
We consider the “National Plan for Industry 4.0 2017-2010” a document that provides significant concrete measures based on three main guidelines:
– operate with a logic of technological neutrality
– intervene with horizontal and non-vertical or sectoral actions
– act on enabling factors.
The plan outlines the four strategic guidelines that form the basis of companies’ calls to evolve:innovative investments, enabling infrastructures, skills and research, awareness and governance.
